Hyman Goldenberg was born in the Bronx, N.Y. in 1918 and enlisted in the Army at Boston, Mass. in April 1943. His parents were Polish immigrants: Dora and Samuel Goldenberg. At the time of enlistment he was unmarried, had four years of high school and working as a traffic engineer.
